Apex Foundation

As one of the first Specific Benefit Corporations in Minnesota, we strive to alleviate poverty and homelessness, as well as improve education opportunities and address the exploitation of children.  We tithe corporate profits into the Apex Foundation to assist with this mission.

It is our goal at Apex to continuously improve the world through the implementation of fiscally-responsible and environmentally-friendly projects.  Plus, we actively work to improve the community around us and abroad by dedicating a portion of each year’s profits to these causes. Half of Apex Foundation’s assets are used to help in the local community.  The other half of the assets are used globally to help fight poverty and injustice.

In The Local Community:

Apex is committed to being and active participant in the local community. Our company has partnered with and financially supported the following organizations and events:

Global Accomplishments:

As of Jan 2017, Apex has sent 30 people on mission trips to work in Haiti.  Each person has worked in the communities of Williamson, Luly, Arcahaie and City on a Hill for one week. Our most recent team from Minnesota had a BUSY week using their skills in construction, electrical engineering and much more to bless World Wide Village and the people of Haiti.  Here’s a quick run-down of the work they did during their time in Haiti. It’s always a blessing to watch our teams work so well alongside our Haitian crews.

  • Surveyed and laid out building plans for sewing school in Williamson.
  • Surveyed land for future Moringa tree garden.
  • Excavated a ravine and installed drainage culverts so that water from the rainy season will not erode the land where the medical clinic is being constructed.
  • Finalized some drawings for the final stages of the medical clinic to simplify construction.
  • Rewired 5 houses in one the World Wide Village’s staff members’ neighborhoods to prepare for “Electricite D’Haiti” (EDH) to bring service to that area of Haiti.
  • Arranged for 12 goats to be purchased and delivered to 5 families (including the Caseus family).
  • Hiked up the mountain to see what needs there were at a small village school and decided to sponsor that school as a company.
  • Played with a LOT of kids!
